About

The Southern Beaches Conservation Society (SBCS) has been established to protect and conserve the natural & built heritage of the Southern Beaches.

 The aims of the SBCS are to:
  • provide information to the community regarding the impacts of the proposed Category C waste facility at the Copping/Carlton River area, with a view to mobilising community opposition to the proposal.  
  • overturn the decision to grant a permit for the Category C waste facility at Copping/Carlton River.  
  • maintain an ongoing role where necessary to protect & conserve the Southern Beaches.
